State Voluntary Buyout Prgram
Submitted by kattease on June 18, 2008 - 6:00am.Many State employees received their VBO packages this week. Someone needs to keep close watch on how this program works. It sucks. If you supervisor happens not to like you, your position number went on the list. If you take the buyout, you will be paying income tax on the lump sum amount in 2009. They "forgot" to say anything about that, and most people won't think of it until tax time comes.
