I woke up today and realized that I missed Pete Rose’s birthday. It was a month ago today, April 14.

I always remembered Rose’s birthday (4/14/41) because it was printed on the back of his baseball card many years ago—as birthdates always were and are—and for some goshdarn reason it stuck in my head. (I also remembered Frank Howard’s—8/8/36—but not the way I remembered Pete’s.)

Damn, What’s up with the U.S. Postal Service? Are they not out of debt? I can’t keep up. I will not by another roll of stamps. EVER!!!! I’ve always purchased stamps in the 100 stamp roll. Seems as I never ran out when I do this. Purchasing stamps by the book, I never had enough.

I woke to find this on the front page of the Knoxville News Sentinel. I always wondered why Rep. McCord’s office door was ALWAYS closed. Everyone else on his floor invitingly had their office door open so it was very noticable.

Went to see Iron Man over the weekend and while it wasn't quite the nirvana that is Spider-Man 2, it was still very enjoyable.
