It's definitely predictable. Nashville has been clamoring for "affordable housing" options for years and now, when plans to bring a boatload of homes into an area materialize, neighbors come out in force to NIMBY the project.

It's sh*t like this that has driven Nashville to begin seeking ways to establish homeless camps that are regulated, patrolled and provide a measure of safety to residents in the camps. Whether the effort pans out remains to be seen but at this point, that it's even on the table is a good thing.....

UPDATE: Much to report on the events today.

First, the commission meeting and some video will accompany a lengthy report tomorrow but for tonight, let me just say that it looks like we may have gotten the camp's closure at least postponed until November 1st, when Room in the Inn begins.
