Temperatures this morning in Middle TN are in the 50's! My station reads 58.0° currently. This is quite a break from the last several days where we saw highs in the 90's and lows in the 70's.

Just for reference, the last time we saw a low in the 50's was on July 1st. During June, we had just three mornings in the 50's. We will definitely take this kind of weather!

Hot weather is the rule for Middle Tennessee today! While we will see low 90's here in Cookeville, others to our west will go even higher. Rain chances, however, increase for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Look for a few more popup type of showers and thunderstorms today. As we go into the first part of next week, chances continue to increase as a front nears the Middle Tennessee area.

Some showers are located this morning in eastern sections of Middle TN. Here in Putnam County, radar indicates a couple of rain bands. So far, nothing at my home.

It has been a typical mid-July week here in Tennessee. Temperatures have been in the 90's for much of the state and conditions are very dry. The only good news is low temperatures at night have fallen into the 60's! Very comfy at night.

Another gorgeous day here in Tennessee. We've got SEVERAL more lined up for this week!

Well, the 100% chance didn't last very long...latest, updated forecast calls for a 50% chance...the rest of the week looks fantastic.
