invites you to see a movie and hear delicious jazz at Sherlock's . Located on the Nashville side of Lebanon, Six-String Jazz will be playing classic tunes from seven until ten pm.

The bookstore contains a small movie theater that will feature "Sidesho", a horror epic

Many State employees received their VBO packages this week. Someone needs to keep close watch on how this program works. It sucks. If you supervisor happens not to like you, your position number went on the list. If you take the buyout, you will be paying income tax on the lump sum amount in 2009. They "forgot" to say anything about that, and most people won't think of it until tax time comes.

I madea couple of changes to the way Twitter is displayed on the main page of NIT. It's an HTML based bade instead of flash. For whatever reason, teh old flash badge was rarely showing up. Now they show up all the time. Also, when you click a person's name, it now links to their blog if they've listed one in their Twitter bio.

In an article by ADAM NAGOURNEY entitled "What Should Be the Purpose of a Presidential Debate?" The New York Times is actually trying to argue that we don’t need to know the presidential candidates views on the issues in a ridiculous attempt to defend their mainstream media buddies Charlie Gibson and George Stephonopoulos.

Not sure if you noticed, but I added a short list of my latest posts to the main page along with the RSS feed to my posts. I also added the latest comments and an RSS feed. That is actually a feed of all NIT's comments, but I'm trying to narrow it down to only comments on my posts. You can get the RSS for any other conversation on the website, including groups.

I just tweaked the display of the most popular posts displayed at the top of the page. It used to be set to display the all-time most popular posts as voted on by readers. Now it displays the past week's most popular content, which should change much more regularly. It also now displays the total votes a post has received over the past 7 days.

Do any of you use Drupal?

Can someone, anyone tell me how gas just north of Cookville is $2.68 and everywhere else its over $3.00 ? Isn't the retailer paying the same amount of gas ? If so are the retailers north of Cookville loosing money...I doubt it !

i would like to join or start a group to protest and work to promote a national healthcare (ie- going to the capital to protest/talk to reps when necessary, write letters & emails and promote the cause in any way)

We experienced a few minutes of downtime today. We tweaked the server a little to test a few things that might be causing this.

I started this group as an easy way for people to keep up with other people's ideas on how to make NIT a better site. Once you subscribe, you can also post your ideas to this group. At the bottom of the group page is the RSS feed for the group which you can pop into your reader and see all new posts.
