Okay, so Barack Obama says candidate's spouses are off-limits to criticism even if they're out on the campaign trail making speeches on behalf of the candidate they are married to and the criticism is about things the spouse said during a campaign appearance.
So... did the Obama campaign and its allies refrain from attacking Bill Clinton for things he said in speeches he gave on behalf of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign?
No.
So, the Obama Rule is not that spouses
