So far this spring I have met with folks on the street who have been infested with scabies, had active TB, were crawling with lice, and who had oozing staph infections. The risk of disease transmission, infections and vermin transfers are very real and while some of my advocate colleagues may be upset that I mention this, it is a fact of life for some folks who are homeless.
