I had some conversations with a few good friends this last weekend about voter "apathy," the census, and even the questionnaires the City of Franklin spent so much time and money on a while back.

The common thread I noted was they are related in that all three items require citizen participation.

Maury County school bus driver suspended

A Maury County School bus driver has been suspended after Spring Hill elementary first grader Patrick Bartley was allegedly left alone on a school bus for hours.

Maury County School Board Attorney, Jake Wolover confirms to News 2, that bus driver Jerry Erwin was suspended for two days without pay. The driver is now back on the job.

When the suspension began is unclear.

Wolover adds; a formal letter of reprimand was put in Erwin’s file.
