The march that Sadr had planned for today was canceled. The reason given was that they were afraid that their supporters would turn violent. If so, we ought to laud the action Part of me, however, can't but wonder if the reason it was canceled was that there might have been a lack of support.

After last week's clash between Sadr and Maliki, Sadr is now calling on a protest march to oppose the occupation of Iraq by the US.
