WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Despite assurances to the contrary from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Democratic insiders are certain Sen. Joseph Lieberman next year will be kicked out of the party's caucus and lose his Senate chairmanship if he addresses the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., as planned.

Congressman Bart Gordon (D-Murfreesboro) ties together his childhood, his Chairmanship of the House Science & Technology Committee, and energy independence all into the equations of domestic security.  The Congressman uses his position to articulate the point:

After reading State Representative Stacey Campfield's blog today for the first time since the Memphis Flyer flap, I realized what an asset we conservatives have in him. I am grateful to the voters in his district for keeping him office.
