Please bear with me because I'm going to get on my soapbox for a paragraph. Summer is nearly over and many regions in the US are experiencing slightly cooler weather. It's very tempting to load your best four-legged friends into the car when you head out for errands.

When my parents came to Greece five years ago for our wedding, they came at exactly the same time of year, so they kinda had an idea of what to expect weather wise. Since we were sweating to death by the wedding day and were grateful for any air conditioning we could get, they packed for a warm Greek late spring.

More 80's On The Way!

Another gorgeous day here in the Upper Cumberland region of Tennessee. We expect temperatures to race quickly throught the 60's on the way to a high in the lower 80's.

Some areas to our west may see some shower and thunderstorm activity, although it will hold off in our area. These showers will be the summer-like, garden variety popup type!

Dare I type it out loud, but we may have had our last frost here in Nashville. Last year, of course, we had 2-3 nights of temps in the teens in mid-April, damaging lots of trees, shrubs and emerging crops. I still have one bush that's limping along from that episode [not the one I wanted to die, of course].
