Should we trust John McCains judgment when he said only three years ago, Afghanistan-we dont read about it anymore because its succeeded? Or should we trust Barack Obama, who more than a year ago called for sending two additional combat brigades to Afghanistan?

I recently posted on Obama's evolving Iraq policy, and even mentioned it in my op/ed on Tuesday. One of the things Obama has said is that "My first day in office, I will bring the Joint Chiefs of Staff in, and I will give them a new mission, and that is to end this war - responsibly, deliberately, but decisively."

The United States on Tuesday rejected a demand from Iraq for a specific date for pullout of US-led foreign troops from the country, saying any withdrawal will be based on conditions on the ground.

It has been a week since Admiral Mullen, head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, made his whirlwind tour of Europe and Israel. It would appear that the tour was more of a squall line of tornadoes rather than a single whirly-dervish. The MSM has been working overtime to downplay what happened or exactly what the message is. Did the Admiral return preaching peace or preparation.

The chief spook was on Meet the Press yesterday discussing numerous topics, including bin Laden and Al Qaeda. Here is a snippet:
