Last weekend we pulled a double birthday. Saturday we celebrated SueBoo’s and on Sunday it was Pops. Saturday we went to a Mexican restaurant and had so much fun that the other patrons looked at us funny: Not So Simple Partisanship9

Lintilla and I have always personalized our marriage - meaning we treat it as if it were a person. And, in a way, it is. That is, our marriage is MUCH stronger, more resilient, and interesting than just the sum of us. It’s hard to explain, but I believe that other long-marrieds understand what I’m talking about. No one was bothering them, thank goodness. I think she saw my friend Michelle gawking at her for a moment, but it was okay. Pilgrim's Progress27

You also probably ignored the whole event beause the Spot-dudes kept it super low-key and totally pro. They were also calm and collected enough to keep my panic-stricken punk-ass from totally freaking the f--k out. Kudos, gentlemen. Sneezy Sunday13

I mean, no, I’m not getting sick intentionally, but the net effect of being sick is that I get to be low-key, which ends up being kind of nice (if you overlook the whole watery-eyes, runny-nose, sneezing, coughing, headache-y, feverish part), but it shouldn’t take being sick to relax, right? Right. Ugh. Pass the tissue and aspirin, please. And a blanket. I’m chillin’ out over here, literally. Birthdays Come And Go And Come Again14

Yesterday was La Hermana’s birthday. She now shares it with two tragedies: “The Day The Music Died” and “The Day That Perfection Died“. I am still in a little bit of a state of shock this morning. The Florida Low Keys17
