“Automatic” delegate to the Democratic National Convention, Vicki Harwell, President of the Tennessee Federation of Democratic Women,has thrown her lot in with Hillary Clinton:

Last night's results from the Democrat primary in West Virginia (and yes I joked about that) gave a huge margin of victory to Senator Clinton over Senator Obama.

If polls are correct, Senator Clinton will win the West Virginia primary today by a hefty margin. Such an outcome would be in line with a larger trend that bloggers such as DHinMI have noted: Senator Obama has failed to gain any traction whatsoever in Appalachia.

Congressman Steve Cohen has a reputation of saying what is ever on his mind and usually his words are laced with pop culture analogies, Memphis anecdotes as well as that he is Tennessee’s only liberal rep in Congress.

Congressman Cohen attempted to surgically remove his foot from his mouth after going on a local Fox affiliate where he said in reference to Sen. Clinton, "Glenn Close should have just stayed in the tub." Over at Egalia's house, Rep. Cohen left a comment apologizing for his remark:

This morning, John Edwards did the media tour and I watched him on Morning Joe. Ostensibly, he was on to talk about his new program, 50 in 10, designed to cut poverty in half over the next ten years.

Not a good sign for Sen. Clinton. Rasmussen will discontinue its Obama vs. Clinton tracking poll, which today has Obama up 50-42, from 47-43 yesterday:
