The Joy Ford battle with MDHA comes to a happy end. Apparently, some folks started doing some real thinking and a land swap deal was worked out. I’ve no doubt that an important component in coming to this compromise was the heat that citizens put on MDHA, Lionstone Group and local politicans. Great work, y’all.

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has named U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., a Guardian of Small Business for his “outstanding voting record on behalf of America’s small business owners in the 110th Congress.”

Earlier today, Congressman Marsha Blackburn  issued a statement on the proposed bailout plan. I didn’t have time to get it up earlier, so my apologies.  But I thought many of you might like to read what she has to say.  

Small business owners work the hardest, according to a recent survey:

Small business owners are some of the hardest working people in society, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Most say government workers work the least.
