Hello, People of Milligan,

Congratulations on discovering the joys of dancing and welcome.  Well, sort of.  You see, as flattered as I am to see so many of you here, it also kind of creeps me out, because, I, of course, have no idea why you’re here, seeing as how the forum from which you’re arriving is closed to me.

That’s the big question as Gustav heads towards the same area Katrina touched down, NOLA, 3 years ago.

Kay Brooks doesn’t see how instituting English First would make Nashville less palatable to outsiders than the increasing levies on tourism:

One of the arguments against the English First referendum that's about to appear on the November ballot in Nashville is that Nashville will appear unwelcoming to the world and that will hinder businesses from moving here and tourists from visiting.

In addition to trains and subways and cable cars, San Francisco has several other commuting options. Zipcar is here. It’s perfect for urban locales like this where you only occasionally need a car. You register and get a card.

Not only did I have an afternoon off, but I spent it rambling around San Francisco. If/when you ever come here and you decide you want to ride one of the cable cars, never, ever, ever, never wait at the foot of Powell Street with all the touristas in the two hundred hour line.

I always thought culling tourists might be a little tedious.
