Find more posts like this: It wasn't that long ago that the state of Tennessee enjoyed a string of budget surpluses of hundreds of millions of dollars per year. Conservatives watched with disgust year-after-year as the General Assembly and Governor Bredesen squandered each surplus by growing government, while we conservatives consistently advocated using the surplus to lower taxes, specifically the food tax. |
