So, this whole freshman parent thing is still a little weird.

Or, maybe it's just the sports teams, dunno.

We're about half-way through the volleyball season (undefeated, I might add. Maybe I shouldn't add, might jinx us. Heh, there was an unintentional pun in there if you know me and the school.) and I still really don't know the other parents.

Last week, I wrote that Tyson should compromise on the holiday uproar.

Southern Beale is reporting that they have.

After catching flack from the Muslim-haters in outter wingnuttia for changing its holiday policy to accommodate Muslim workers, the Tyson plant in Shelbyville, TN, has changed its policy yet again.

Not all of them, mind you. Just the ones who are venting some serious anti-Muslim spleen over the Tyson Plant in Shelbyville.

The Tyson plant in Shelbyville no longer affords its workers a paid day off for Labor Day; however, they will instead be granted the holiday Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, a month-long Muslim fast.
