Bill Hobbs chastises the media and blogger coverage of the news that, in a historical departure, the TNGOP will close

Wasn't it just this week that GOP flack Bill Hobbs was bitching over the piss-poor turnout for Carly Fiorina’s little press conference for John McCain?

As reports came out that the TNGOP Statesman’s Dinner with, ironically, Karl Rove will be closed to the press, they were quick to bat down any questioning of their motives:

This week the blogosphere has been filled with Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog and how that traffic crashed the site within just a couple of hours. (The new episode is up today and I’m headed over to see it shortly.)

1. Talking about your stupid spider bite.

2. Looking at Cheetos with a loving eye.

3. Talking exuberantly about Shark Week.

4. Wondering why Karl Rove gets away with all he does because I’m afraid if he doesn’t testify, he’s setting a terrible precedent. Not to be confused with a terrible president. We have that already.

... but I think Karl Rove's exit of the country supposedly on the date of his Subpoena to Appear before the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee is telling.

Patricia Ann Pierce of Harriman, director of the Opportunity Development Center at Vanderbilt University, was appointed today by Governor Phil Bredesen to serve on Tennessee’s Human Rights Commision.

Karl Rove, who is now a private citizen, defied a Congressional subpoena today and refused to testify.

Heh.
