Yeah, it happened! Amazingly, the man who interviewed me also spent exactly one year working here in west TN, but as he put it, "it just wasn't middle Tennessee," so he moved back. Once that was revealed, it was as if I were just having a nice chat with someone with whom I shared an odd background in common.

Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts about my grandmother, whether left here or sent through other methods. Sheryl and I both greatly appreciate it. And I will also say that I appreciate your thoughts on my writing as well. For a while, I fancied myself as something of a writer and worked on it. I haven't done so outside this blog for a while and so it's nice to get compliments on that.

So, I know I made a tearful vow. If you know me, you know I tend to be a tad dramatic when I'm upset. I did go on a date this weekend. It was Saturday night, before the ass-grabbing incident.

My dear Newscoma tagged me for this, saying I was "good at these things," which I think was a nice way of saying "a sucker for a meme, especially when accompanied with compliments from cool people," but I of course am jumping on it anyway. I haven't seen this one before, but I like it.
