The GOP fears Obama may pick Dick Gephardt:

George W Bush is perhaps the worst American president who has ever served. To this day it is a mystery to me how the man was able to gain the Republican nomination, steal the election, start two wars, get re-elected and then drag on a failed war for five years and drive the economy into the ground without getting impeached.

The International Herald Tribune (the international edition of the New York Times) published an article today, blaming turf wars and Bush Administration for the revival of the terrorist group Al-Qaeda in Pakistan.

The James K. Polk Association will hold its annual dinner-dance Sept. 27 at one of Maury County’s oldest homes, Antrim, which is owned by Mrs. Stuart Swope Fleming.

The right wng is going to go after General Clark very hard because of this:

SCHIEFFER: Can I just interrupt you? I have to say, Barack Obama hasn’t had any of these experiences either, nor has he ridden in a fighter plane and gotten shot down.

CLARK: I don’t think getting in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to become president.

It is absolutely stunning the ability of the authoritarian right to tout the “great presidency” of GW Bush in face of facts. It could only be one of two things: 1) authoritarian worship, or 2) a simple lack of knowledge and information.
