A new fee schedule means a sliding scale will be used to charge you to view and/or copy public records, thanks to a decision from the state. It's a leap backward, away from open government and a tactic of sheer intimidation which is an embarrassment for the state.

As of today, I'm a former reader of the Music Week website. Amidst changes to the print publication and a redesign of the website, articles have been hidden behind a subscription wall. Not just its charts and features are inaccessible. The previously accessible short daily news bites are behind a subscription wall.

When trying to distance his campaign from a contrary statement made by his running mate, John McCain chose to dismiss her like she was inconsequential. Like she was just "chatting" with some guy. Then he goes on to speak for her, to say what she really meant. I think some woman might recognize this tactic to diminish. It sounded sexist to me.
