I'm still in training mode, and the advent of school means it's back to the treadmill for mid-week tempo runs. It's a paradox, I realize. Theoretically, I could train in the morning on the road, but if for some reason I don't perform and am stuck 3-3.5 miles away from home at 6 a.m., I'll never make it to school by 7.

Love, love, love the Olympics this time. This is the first summer iteration I've experienced since I've gotten more serious about my running. Watching bodies perform at the peak of their physical abilities makes my trips to the gym for strength training that much more rewarding.

The Bug makes the most ridiculous face sometimes. She usually does it when she’s asserting control - she’s announcing that she’s through eating, for instance. But other times I can’t figure out her motivation. But it’s super silly and super cute.
