Just about every day, I eat a salad for lunch. Because I am lazy and picky, I buy the pre-washed organic baby lettuce (I prefer romaine), usually from Earthbound Farms. I stuck by them during the e. Coli scare last year because they've treated me well.

I’m getting an increasing number of product review requests and many of the items are things I would actually love to try out for myself or my family. Look, mama’s no Dooce. First and foremost I blog for fun and for a creative outlet, but I don’t want this blog, my first blog child, to turn into The Truman Show:

...I left my lunch on the counter today. A frozen meal and yogurt, ravaged by room temperatureness. Fourteen hours later when I came home, they were there. Taunting me.

I ate them.

Nah. I'd be dead by now if I had.

I've noticed lately that I'm getting a bunch of e-mails trying to sell me things to clean out my colon, complete with disgusting color photos of what appear to be 5-foot turds. They're peddling yogurts with "fiber" in them, too. Who wants laxative in their yogurt?

But today's e-mail took the cake, so to speak.
