State Representative Susan Lynn sent out a link to the Education Consumers Foundation, which provides a tool to investigate value-added school performance. Unfortunately, it only rates public schools. But it's still a neat tool.

The Tennessean reports today on the award and ceremony as reproduced below.
Three Nashville-area public school principals were among 18 in Tennessee whom an education-focused organization recognized this week for excellence.

No real surprise in the research that Jay Greene reveals in his post today but it needs to be said out loud and over and over. Academia is NOT a representation of America. It's likely a representation of what they'd LIKE America to be... but America isn't there yet.
