Police were called to the Tennessee Human Rights Commission this afternoon after several threatening phone calls were made to the organization’s Nashville and Chattanooga offices.

CSX Reporting a Fatality in Knox County

I keep a scanner running near the computer and listen in to local railroad dispatchers. The CSX dispatcher in Jacksonville, FL, has just reported a fatality involving a pedestrian in Knox County near the Anderson County line.

Karns Volunteer Fire Department has been dispatched and is searching the scene. It is apparently near the tunnel in the Solway Community.

For those of you that don’t know a lot about how the City of Columbia is run, I will fill you in a little bit. All of us in Columbia want a safe city, correct? No one likes to know that they are in danger when they go to Wal-Mart, the mall, or even into one of our local restaurants, right?
