I was watching The Weather Channel (MTV for old people. Yes, I'll be eating dinner at 4pm before you know it.) and a young, very animated anchor was gesturing wildly about the possibility of a hurricane somewhere in the Atlantic.

She was sitting at the anchor desk and the background behind her was open, showing the hustle and bustle of the busy news room.

Sadly, this stupidity spills from the lips of another Democrat, former Vice-Presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro.

If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.

There are things that confound me and then at the same time do not surprise me at all. Yesterday, in the national news arena, we watched three very vital stories hit our television/internet worlds and the reaction to all three stories was quite unique. But which story was the biggest one of the day?

We first had the story about the economy which confounds the average citizen and that includes me.
