This week marks the half-way point in my project to fully implement the outpatient clinics on the new electronic surgery scheduling form. It has been a long road to get to here, over 3 years of investigation, development, and trial and error.

I had just gotten over Co-Worker Dave leaving me for the Federal Government (it only took what, 4 months) and had finally stopped looking for him in his cube every morning and then my girl, Cherry, drops a bomb (get it? a Cherry Bomb?) on me today that now SHE’S leaving me for Busy Mom’s workplace. Can you believe that?

I received an email last week from a good friend of mine and others. Mrs Yvonne Moon had helped us with the Bowling for Brandon Brewer fundraiser this past summer and I when she emailed me last week I was upset to find out that something like this could happen to a person like Yvonne. I’m continuing to improve!  I can transfer to the wheelchair on my own.  With some assistance, I’ve stood in a walker and sort of taken a few steps.  My hands are becoming more limber.  One of the best things has been my friends.  I have had visitors almost every day and frequent meals brought in from some of my favorite places.

Next Tuesday will be 4 months since this began.  It will be interesting to see how this  experience changes me.
