Several months ago, the lady who runs the Tennessee Twirlers organization told us at a parent meeting, “Like it or not, you are all pageant Moms now.”  That has such a negative connotation to me, but I look at it as part of the process for Melissa to be able to twirl.

There are about a million recipes for zucchini bread out there, so I figured there might be one for squash cornbread. I found a few, but all called for cornbread mix. Despite my using self-rising cornmeal, "mix" is anathema to me. So I rejected them out of hand.

I made one up, and I was so pleased with it. Hope you enjoy!

A report from WVLT-TV in Knoxville says that crop circles have returned to Morgan County, close to where they were made last May.
