It deeply disturbs me that Barack Obama has voiced tentative support of HR 6304, the so-called "FISA compromise." I need Senator Obama to explain exactly why FISA, alone, is no longer sufficient to gather vital intelligence prior to his vote next week in the Senate on this legislation.

I have been following articles in The Daily Herald regarding the situation with the animal shelter and am compelled to respond after reading Glen Hasse’s statements in today’s (June 11) paper. Mr. Hasse states that he was shocked to find out that the shelter was over budget and found out only last week.
