It is nice to wake up to morning temperatures in the low 60's...63.3° was our morning low and it is currently 63.8°. Unfortunately, we will top out around 92° for our high today and 94° on Tuesday. No rain in our forecast until Wednesday (at 30%) and greater chances Thursday (at 50%).

The mayor has called on the committee to identify goals and develop a plan of action that would help Nashville to first become the greenest city in the Southeast, and later one of the greenest cities in the nation.

Budget Hearing is underway. I have several questions to ask. I imagine others do, too. We're going department by department. Air Quality Mgmt. just finished. Next in order: County Clerk, Law Director, Register of Deeds, Property Assessor, Sheriff's Dept, Trustee, Publc Building Authority, Community Development, Engineering and Public Works, Health Department, and then Human Resources.

It is just beautiful here at 7 a.m. in the Highlands of Tennessee. Current temperature on my station is 59.4° with no wind. We'll top out in the mid 80's before the day is done. Much of the same for Memorial Day but with an increased chance for showers and more humid conditions.
