An OpEd piece on www.clarionledger.com , Debate: Great opportunity for the state (June 17, 2008), raises some interesting questions about how the nation will perceive Ole Miss, and, how the media may portray the deep south. The writer explains,

The Deep South Moms blog (imagine Barry White saying that softly) officially launched today and while we’re not serving up fried chicken, grits, or sweet tea, we are serving up some fine home cooked blogging.

At Deep South Moms I've posted about a gun fight at my son's school. The Aftercare kids brought water guns on the last full day of school and had a water gun and water balloon fight at Aftercare.
