I apologize for posting this information late to the District 6 community, but it was so well covered in the Media. I was traveling yesterday for work and surprisingly was in upper West Tennessee country (Gibson County Tennessee!) and surprisingly I did not have time to post anything and had to answer questions regarding the recent news coverage on the rezoning vote. Yes, you read right.

Today's city paper story references Councilman At Large Jerry Maynard regarding this past weeks vote. This is interesting as I reached out to Councilman Jerry Maynard and received no response to my email. Additionally, Jerry Maynard attended none of the public meetings of the task force.

I have it from a reliable source, and confirmed with SEIU political director Mark Naccarato, that the Service Employees International Union will be endorsing Mike Stewart for the 52nd District House Seat being vacated by Rep. Rob Briley.

Well, Eric Stansell already had an uphill battle against Mike Stewart's large financial advantage, now it appears that Stewart has an important constituency (especially in a low-turnout Democratic primary) in his pocket. Both the Communication Workers of America and the Education Association PAC have endorsed the Waller Lansden attorney.
