It deeply disturbs me that Barack Obama has voiced tentative support of HR 6304, the so-called "FISA compromise." I need Senator Obama to explain exactly why FISA, alone, is no longer sufficient to gather vital intelligence prior to his vote next week in the Senate on this legislation.

I will miss Russert in the morning. He was part of my Sunday morning media ritual. He was probably the best TV interviewer I ever saw. He knew the response before it was said and had the counter point. He was ready and willing to call people out when they would do political speak/ double talk. He had the old quote ready when they flip flopped.
