New York Gov. Elliot Spitzer, best known for his crackdown on Wall Street and plans to allow illegal immigrants to receive driver’s licenses, is apparently involved in a prostitution ring:

The criminal complaint involved an alleged high-end prostitution ring run out of New York. Four individuals were charged last week with allegedly running it.

As attorney general, Spitzer prosecuted at least two prostitution rings as head of the state’s organized crime task force:

Gov. Eliot Spitzer has informed his most senior administration officials that he had been involved in a prostitution ring, an administration official said this morning.

Senate candidate Mike Faulk is putting it out there that Bredesen Administration officials may be doing a bit of fundraising work on behalf of the independent former Republican incumbent in his race, Senator Mike Williams:

Bush needs to find money to spend on his illegal war, which, interestingly, he doesn’t even include a full years spending, so you know he’s going to cut programs needed by the people. Of course, programs targeted for major cuts are Medicare and Medicaid.

There's talk in Washington, D.C. about an economic stimulus package that would include a healthy round of tax rebates and cuts that Democrats are actually warm to. Of course, the Democrats would also load it up with increased entitlement spending, but the fact that they're wrapping their arms around a potential tax cut, after demonizing the Bush tax cuts for seven years, it noteworthy.
