I've known about Urban Dictionary for some time now, but it was only recently that I realized that they, too, had a Word of the Day email (just like dictionary.com).

Today's WOTD delighted me...

I'm supposed to be packing. I'm headed up to NY again (yes, I know gas is expensive) to spend a few days and the 4th with some friends. I have a job interview while I am up there, but I don't know that I want to return to Buffalo for good.

I walk around this apartment; the place I've tried so hard to make our home for the last few months.

Like a bruise changing color, this is transforming and getting uglier.

I think about when I started blogging and it was a blog about getting married, then trying to conceive. Then an infertility blog, then cancer, marital issues, moving, now what? Divorce? (Am I even ready to use that word?) Separation?

My time in NY has given me a lot of time to think. I got the chance to run things by some friends. The one couple who even has an inkling of our marriage troubles. I also got the chance to spend some time with the Other. I know, I know. perhaps not the best use of my time.

Yesterday, the US Climate Change Science Program issued a pogram designed to ruin our economy a report that reinforces the mistaken belief that the Earth's climate is changing because we puny humans like to live as well as possible (given that humankind has been around for 25,000 years or so and just recently we've implemented Air Conditioning, I guess that guilt is too much for these liberals

Reading 2 Timothy 1:3 this morning gives me hope. Paul writes "I thank God whom I serve, as did my ancestors, with a clear conscience". I think about Paul's life; the things he had done against the Gospel; how he was probably one of the chief murderers of Christians in his day, and yet Paul could write his last letter to Timothy with a clear conscience. It gives me hope.
