Our adventures have brought us to eastern South Dakota. Yesterday it was cold, 40s when we got here and rainy with a little sleet. Today, I could see why someone would move and stay here. It was completely gorgeous by the afternoon and in the low 70s.

I'm on limited computer time, so here's the pictures. More tomorrow.

Memphis Int'l: 4.2 inches
Perry County: 5.0 inches
Nashville: At least 1.5 inches...
White House: 2.0 inches (just in an hour and a half)

Here in Cookeville...freezing rain and sleet along with thunder...however, snow is moving our way...

Interstates near Nashville are snow covered and dangerous.

I am so thankful to be home.  I have none of the morons who panic in winter weather to thank.  I had taken my daughter to her piano lesson, and within that half-hour window, the weather changed drastically!  Major sleet was happening in Smyrna. It covered Sam Ridley Parkway within minutes, and people started driving like idiots.

Please note that driving 10mph on a hill is not the thing to do when you have drivers behind you who need to gain momentum.
