Update from New Orleans Friend:

Greetings Busy Mom Minions!

Please let me thank you for your thoughts and concern for us all. Luckily, this time it was only just a scare for us New Orleanians.

Our drive was the most hideous part of it all. 8 hours to get to Hattiesburg (normally a 2 hr trip) and 17.5 hrs to Nashville (normally 8.5 hr trip).

What can I tell you about Seattle? We spent a little less than a week in the area and barely even hit the highlights (of food!), but we still enjoyed plenty of good stuff.

I made it back from Seattle, but I'm still buried under a pile of laundry and extremely mediocre vacation photos. But I've got lots to report. Seattle's a great town for foodies and I barely scratched the surface of what was available. The abundant rain and occasional rays of sunshine yield a bounty of delicious produce in the area.

I’ve sort of been in a cave for the month of June in an angry, bitter battle with my very own psyche that has given me internal chiggers.

Yay. I suck.
