Thank goodness this weekend is Tennessee's 2008 Sales Tax Holiday. I might be able to save some pennies when buying an anniversary card for my beautiful wife. This Sunday will make it six years she's been my bride.

State issues sales tax holiday in time for back to school

Just in time for back to school, the state has issued a Sales Tax Holiday for the weekend of Aug. 1-3.

Tax exempt items are:

* School and school art supplies with a price of $100 or less per item;
* Clothing with a price of $100 or less per item; and
* Computers with a price of $1,500 or less.
