You may remember an item from January about speculative plans for a food court near the burgeoning Rutledge Hill area.

From an email sent out by Keith Caldwell, Director of the Urban EpiCenter:

The City of Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam, along with Knox County Mayor Mike Ragsdale, have a plan to end chronic homelessness.

Today's my first shot at riding public transportation to work. Lydia's coming downtown twice, and by eliminating my trip, we save about six bucks in gas.

At the first sign of tractors back in April 2009, like you, I was very curious as to what was being constructed at this intersection. Below is the email response that I received from Mark Macy, Assistant Director of Public Works. The airport is building a 1200 – car employee parking lot.
