Big Fella’s fond childhood food memories include Shake ‘N Bake chicken, and for the 19 years of our marriage, he’s not failed to bring it up at least every month.

I was talking to a friend last week about the Internet and its effect on high school yearbook sales. (It's killing them.) Many students aren't buying them anymore mainly because they feel that with websites like MySpace and Facebook, what's the need?

The human mind is a funny thing. It files things away in a seemingly random way and brings memories up out of nowhere. It also seems to have a great editing feature as it will often change the memories to only show the good (or sometimes bad) in a person or situation.

When I was a teenager, my mother had a habit of waking me up on Sunday mornings by asking what I was wearing to church. “Ummm, probably my pink Laura Ashley dress,” I’d say groggily. Mom would flit off somewhere and I’d rub my eyes and stumble into the shower, emerging fully dressed from my room an hour later to find her wearing a pink outfit that perfectly coordinated with mine.

I know you’re all sick of hearing about my vacation, so I promise this is the last post about it. We really had a blast! We were in need of some good quality and uninterrupted time together.

I really should have written you this letter allll the way back on May 16th.  That was when you turned 19 Months old.  That was when you officially crossed over the half year away from 2 mark.
