Lots of stuff has kept my interest in the world of sports this weekend. I am glad that I am getting back into sports again as I had been straying away with an amazing lack of interest. Here are a few of the things that grabbed me:

Good to see that Tiger Woods is being productive with his downtime recovering from his knee injury:

Woods said on his Web site that [wife] Elin is expecting in late winter without being more specific on a due date.

GM, at least according to rumors circulating, well, even here, is thinking of cutting more of its workforce, even (gasp) white collar workers, as well as dropping or selling a division. GM stock is now selling below what it was just before they introduced the 1955 Chevy, a milestone vehicle.

Why do some people with lots of smarts and talent seem to flame out and never quite make it?
