Sami is six weeks old today!  We’ve made it this far without going 100% crazy so I guess we will be ok.  She is becoming more animated and making different noises and faces.  There are a few smiles too.

Three day weekends make me happy!  AND I didn’t have to work (well, not really) this weekend.  Just a couple of phone calls and those I can handle.

I approach the blog nowadays with a head full of nothing. If a blog to me is really just about connecting with a certain circle of friends, then Twitter has been taking care of that need lately. Oh, it's not so bad. I just had a rotten day at inservice. I was simply not ready to give up my break, which, though I spent too much time on school work, was so lovely. I shouldn't spend so much time in Nashville, as it makes me not want to come back. I still didn't get everything done that I needed to get done, and I kept remembering all the apathy and resentment I encountered from last semester's students, and I simply wasn't sure I had it in me to encounter a fresh batch of it.
