We had Chinese for dinner and, as we were eating the fortune cookies, we taught my parents the delight of following every fortune reading with “in bed.”

My dad’s fortune was something like “You will travel for pleasure and business… in bed.”

After starting out this Christmas break abysmally sick, I’ve recovered enough to return to public. Ha.  So this morning, about five girls in my Girl Scout troop, along with my daughter, another Mom, and the divine M. (formerly known as Daily Diablogger) and her gang volunteered at Second Harvest Food Bank in Nashville.  There were 13 of us who worked practically nonstop for almost 3 hours.  And what did we do?
