The Roses did something this year we had never done before. We got involved in travel ball during the summer, during what would have been a two-month break in June and July between the spring and fall leagues we normally do. Playing for two different teams (same coach, though), we participated in four tournaments and a total of about 16 games, in addition to all the practices and scrimmages.

Overall I am not a big fan of the ESPN Sunday coverage, but Jackson is actually really good on that show.  He is one of the few guys on that show that provides a good breakdown of the games and what to expect in them.

I've talked about killer apps here before. Games or movies or whatever that cause someone to adopt a new technology. Good example was "The Matrix" DVD. People bought $200 DVD players (back then) just to watch a $25 movie on the new killer format.
