I’m on the bus now, on our way home from South Carolina. Today Caedmon’s played after a game of the River Dogs, Charleston’s AAA baseball team. The stadium was really cool, on the edge of a peninsula, and the walkway all around the outside of the building looked out over the marsh. A bit surreal, and really gorgeous.

I’m convinced that as a mother of babies, toddlers and elementary-aged children, I was the bomb. 

Remember the saga a few weeks back of the baby owl that got kicked out of the nest over there where I work?  Then the Waldens Puddle People came and put the little feller back and everybody was one, big, happy family?

When I was at my Mom’s house today, I found some stuff I didn’t know was still around and it tickled me to death.

I found the very first two cd’s I ever owned. 

One of the hidden talents the Smiffs have is coming up with people who look like famous people.  Just regular people we run across or famous people….me and Mr. Smiff are good at that. (More stuff we waste our brain energy on)

Mel Tillis wrote a fabulous song long ago that went a little somethin’ like this:
