No, I don’t like either presidential front-runner. But I do respect the basic idea that one of them will be the president for awhile.

I cannot understand this constant willingness–make that eagerness–to tear down the various candidates and taint them with scandal. What purpose does that serve the good of the country?

Nate Rau on the breaking news that Councilman Eric Crafton has been the subject of some very pointed harassing phone calls:

Jon Crisp, who is also an English Only supporter, said the messages contained threats specific to Crafton and his family’s habits.

1. Nothing earth shattering came out of this. Obama probably had a small win, but McCain certainly did nothing to help himself.
2. “That one”? McCain really, really holds Obama in contempt.

Who won? It depends on the issue.

McCain did a little better on some economic issues and spending. The "That guy" shot was a good one. The tax increase thing put Obama on his heals. McCain looked good until he brought up buying mortgages. Where did that come from? In for a penny in for a pound.

Forign policy was a wash.
