The highlight of my weekend was having my grandparents in town. Grandma and Grandpa Graham (my mom’s parents) were passing through Nashville. They are on their way from Florida, where they winter, back to Toledo, Ohio, where they live.

In my line of work, you sometimes get phone calls from people who want you to advise them on how to do business with other people vaguely in your line of work.  It’s like, if you coached a flag football team and had to randomly field calls from people who want to get into the NFL, but don’t quite know how.

Ever wonder how a lesser-known artist gets to open for the big guy you paid money to see?  He pays.

I don't remember when I have ever worked in as much isolation as I am now.   Which is a bit strange because my office is located in a suite of coaches offices.  There's probably ten offices in the suite counting mine and another ten upstairs--something like twenty one coaches and another couple of ADs.  Plus I'm in the student center complex to boot so there's lots of students coming and going.

Seems many of the bloggers I know and read are a sickly bunch. They're always going to doctors, and getting pennicillin for that rash or having warts frozen off.

Me I'm rarely sick but I am a hypochondriac. I know to avoid the afternoon appointment yet today I had no choice. I'm stuck staring at a poster of the cardiovascular system and another of a smoker's lung.
