It's that time of year again. Time to either renew my lease (at a higher price, natch) or move to a new place. I'm so darn sick of moving, but I'm tired of Hermitage. And I'm tired of paying so much for rent. It's time to downgrade to a one-bedroom place.

It's nights like this that I really miss living within walking distance of Hillsboro Village. I'm home alone (my family is vacationing in Florida), I've got a rare night off from work, and I'm bored. I'd rather not drive anywhere and keep my gas tank at its present level. It's the perfect evening for a walk down to Bosco's, Fido, or Provence.

The liberal talking heads of the media want you to believe that the only Democrats not supporting Barack Obama for president now are uneducated rednecks and racists, but I know for a fact that it is a lie. Thursday I was in the Harris-Teeter grocery in Nashville's Hillsboro Village area - the heart of the city's most politically liberal neighborhoods.

One of the reasons I love working in Nashville is the diversity in the community. Just a couple of weeks ago I blogged about Nashville’s rising cost of gas prices. I thought that was pretty funny, so I emailed the picture to WKRN and it was featured on News 2.
