I am almost insanely excited about visiting…the Midwest.

I don’t know. When I was a kid, this clip made me feel good.

Nostalgia, campers.

I had the pleasure yesterday of watching a baseball game on television that held my attention while reminding me of simpler times.

I read of today's passing of former Memphis Congressman Dan Kuykendall with some sadness but also pleasant nostalgia. I got a chance to meet him back in the summer of 1967; and I found him to be a very gracious man. You can read the detailed local obit here and his interesting Wikipedia bio here.

Talk about nostalgia. They were THE thing to wear when I was in high school and I wore them a lot.

This is the kind of evening where I’m really grateful to have a cozy house and a knitting habit.  There’s just something special about curling up on the couch under all the knitted afghans of winters past and watching the snow fall in soft swollen flakes.
